OK. So the description of this book 100% did not match what I thought it was going to be about. In my head, I was convinced some man from prison was threatening Kayla, and at one point I even thought her husband was haunting her. Good Jesus, was I wrong. 😂
I did really enjoy the romance between Kayla and Aiden. The whole bunny/lion role-playing thing was a little much for me. Not because it was smutty, but because I just couldn’t take the names seriously. 😂 But hey, I’m not one to yuck another person’s yum.
The twist definitely caught me off guard. Looking back, there were little hints sprinkled throughout, but there’s no way I would’ve pieced it all together on my own.

I’m so confused about where this book is going. I feel like I’m waiting for everything to click, but right now I have no idea what the plot is actually building toward. And the letters… what do they even have to do with anything??

I have so many questions. What accident took out the husband? Did she cause it or was she involved in it? Why isn't she being honest about her husband actually being dead not actually "separated"? You can raw dog it and do the nasty but can't be forth coming? Backwards af.

This book absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way.
I laughed, I gasped, and I full-on sobbed. Jet is one of my favorite characters I’ve read all year. She felt so real, and I found myself rooting for her from the very first page. The mystery kept me guessing until the end (which almost never happens), and every time I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong.
By the time I reached the final pages, I didn’t want it to end. This is one of those books that sticks with you long after you close it.
Easily 5 stars. One of my favorite reads of the year.
