I tried searching for lists but didn't find any, so I'm here to ask the hivemind for more books featuring my favorite fantasy fixation: elves. Obviously LOTR is the classic, but does anyone have other titles that feature elven cultures or characters in interesting ways or settings? Bonus points if it's outside traditional fantasy in some way, and/or diverse, but I'll take anything quality. This was actually inspired by my weekly Frieren watch, so manga is welcome too. I'm all pointy ears!

Many of us are here on Pagebound because it aligns with our valuesâtransparent, small independent company, anti-ai, community-based, etc.
Iâve seen a lot of people mention switching to libro.fm, small book shops, and libraries over using Amazon/Audible and other big businesses. Iâve recently switched from Spotify to Qobuz, which pays artists better and has some anti-ai policies.
What other switches have people here made? Letâs help each other find more ways to live out our values âš

Heap Earth Upon It

I love loved Howarth's style of writing and found it so captivating. It feels like a classic coming of age story that grapples with comphet, mother-daughter dynamics, discovering sexuality and the special way that friendship in high school feels like it's your squad against the world. I found Lucy both highly relatable and incredibly frustrating at times, but always well written. Heartwrenching but not in an exaggerated way, just the way that life so often goes.
