This was such a fun read!! I am becoming a huge fan of historical romances and it’s all thanks to Alexandra Vasti. Once I pick up one of her books I am incapable of putting it down. I love a romance with a little adventure mixed in (especially when that adventure involves a pirate!). I loved Malcolm and Ruby and all of the supporting characters. The banter between Malcolm and Ruby was so well done and made this such an enjoyable read! I would highly recommend this one!!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martins for the advanced copy! All opinions are my own.

This was a phenomenal read! There was so much tension between Cubby and Darcy, it was almost radiating off the page. I loved the yearning that went along with the tension, it was so well done. I loved the band and their antics. All of the characters here felt so real to me. If you like Daisy Jones & The Six and Long Live by Taylor Swift, you’ll love this book!

This was such an interesting concept! I thought the idea of the story would be a great read in a longer form. I do wish the characters had the space to be fleshed out a bit more. I thought the action scenes were written really well and the tension was great as well. Overall, I would recommend this for a quick read!

I fear there was too much going on in this short story. I had a hard time keeping up with who was who and what all the side plots were. The ending felt rather abrupt. It did, however, keep me on my toes. I wasn’t able to guess who the murderer was. It was a very interesting concept that would probably work better in a longer form!

This was a phenomenal read. It is definitely a book that I will be coming back to for a reread. I will always love books that take place on Long Island as that is where I have grown up and still live now (big shout out to the Big Duck). Also funny coincidence that the FMC’s name is Katie and my name is Kate and we’re both from Long Island. I also loved all the references to The Great Gatsby. This book felt real and raw. Katie and Tyler had such great chemistry and tension between them. I could not put this book down. The twist at the end really caught me by surprise and I loved how meta/fourth wall breaking this book was. Having the book centered around all the different tropes really helps to set up Katie and Tyler’s relationship as well. This was an amazing read that I highly recommend (just be sure to check the trigger warnings)!
