Story of My Life

With this book there were moments when some of the dialogue and a few literary devices pulled me out of the story, but I still really enjoyed this book. It was an emotional read that left me with a lot to think about. I also feel like I learned a little more about Iran and its history, and it reaffirmed once again why feminism is so necessary. I even cried a few times, and that epilogue deserved every tear.
The only reason this isn’t a five-star read for me is because of those moments that occasionally disconnected me from the story. But this book was absolutely worth it. Characters like Homa stay with you long after you finish the book, and she will always have a place in my heart.
