I feel this book was not for me. I have enjoyed this author's work for a few years now but this felt a little different from what I enjoyed from her work. I really liked the setting but the plot felt a little empty and I wish there was more moments where we could understand the main characters motives a little bit more. I didn't connect with them and at some point the plot became boring

Of course this book made me feel all the emotions possible because that's Liz Tomforde's power. This review doesn't has spoilers is more about how the book made me feel. First the things I loved: the. freaking. love. story!!!! I'm not used to read a second chance romance but this one? CHEF KISS! It was beautiful seeing both timelines, seeing how they fall and reconnected after all this time and how they deal with the trauma from their adult life. I loved how the author explored the idea of romantic relationships through their parents and how that can affect ourselves because it was done beautifully. What I didn't like? that this is the last book. I was not ready to say goodbye to the characters but I have to say this is the perfect way to end their story. Thank you Liz Tomforde for creating these beautiful characters because every single one of them have a place in my heart.

what did I just read indeed? one moment I was laughing at Wayne jokes and then I was crying like a baby. Thanks Brandon Sanderson for yet another book that destroyed me (in the best way possible). As always, I appreciated the multilayered characters in the cosmere, loved how this all interconnected with Mistborn era 1 and my last braincells were fighting to understand everything. I cannot wait to pick book 3 because I KNOW things are just starting

this was so fun to read!! The first thing I wanna say is how refreshing is to read older characters than the usual 17-20s that are everywhere in fantasy. So this, at least for me, made the story more real, easier to relate to, even when this was a fantasy. The story itself was quick and easy to understand, even when there was a little bit of mystery in it. Now the characters? they have my heart. I don't have to say I love stories that are focused on the characters rather than the plot, and T. Kingfisher didn't dissapointed me. They're layered, complicated, with a lot of insecurities and still want to do their best, be their best and embrace their flaws. The writing was easy and I just enough flourishy that I love it.
