My heart hearts + swells from the pure love in this book and just when I thought I was safe from waterworks, the ending got me. I'm not even sure what to say other than I loved the characters in this book, but ESPECIALLY Merrick and Hazel. Nothing was ever perfect, but it was what they both needed....

The plot was very well done (other than too-quickly resolved things). I'm now very intrigued on the idea of Gods raising children that are not in the "traditional" Greek sense and now I want to find other books like this! I also loved how there was a romance with Leopold, but that never took away from the main storyline AND Leo wasn't the stereotypical dark haired, insufferable prince (WE CHEERED !!!) I recommend The Thirteenth Child with my whole heartfire and will absolutely be reading Small Favors by Craig too✨
