Looking for recommendations of books where the relationship/romance is a central theme (but not necessarily the main one) and the couple is already together when the book starts. Maybe they just started dating and it follows their progression, maybe they’ve been together a while and something external happens they have to weather together, etc.
Bonus points if: -it’s a queer romance -it is fantasy or has fantasy elements

i'm only halfway through but i am honestly so impressed by this novel. the title and the cover had me thinking i was getting a light-hearted, easy read focused solely on romance (no issues with that, its why i picked it up in the first place). but it took my expectations of the YA romance genre i was used to and subverted it completely.
others have said this as well, but i'm really amazed at how this novel delves into various concepts and themes providing a breath of fresh air in an introspective, complex way. capitalism, dealing with grief of losing a loved one (through death, abandonment, etc), the pressure and burden of duties/responsibilities, child neglect... hell, even colonisation was touched upon!
and i'm glad i didn't read any reviews prior to starting it because discovering this was such a pleasant surprise.

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.
