After just finishing Crime and Punishment, it's easy to see how Kafka was influenced by Dostevsky.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Holy plot twist This may or may not be THE BEST mystery story I've read in my life

I have never loved a main character as much as I love Ian. To go through that level of pain and trauma and be betrayed by anyone you ever trusted or attempted to love, and still be kind and this forgiving... oh, my poor precious boy. 😭😭😭
P.S. Though I love this story and the art is absolutely gorgeous but There's too much smut man Just too much

Ugh Drew's writing is like a drug to me. When I first read this book, I searched for their name, hoping they were one of those writers with like 40 books and series, but no. I got stuck with four books in total that I read all in less than a week. I wish they had at least made either this or "Hazelthorn" into a series, because I just couldn't let go of the horrifyingly gorgeous setting and unsettling yet relatable characters, but no. The one time that I hoped the writer would be a money-hungry story dragger cough Tahereh Mafi and Sarah J. Maas cough They turned out to be a genuine lover of literature that takes their story and its conclusion seriously.
