Thanks to the lovely author and Luna Literary Management for providing this e-ARC!
Skylar's best friend is getting married and she's to be in the wedding party, which means his other best friend, the guy who broke Skylar's heart at 17, will also be at the wedding. Seeing each other again and drinking at the wedding spiral things out of control to the point that the next morning, Skylar wakes up with a ring on her finger, the confirmation of their online wedding in her phone and regret. She wants an annulment, but when her late father's lawyer calls to tell her the conditions of the trust fund he left for her, she'll need to keep the ruse of their marriage at all costs. Could she keep things casual and friendly with the man that makes the memory of the most painful moment of her life come back to her over and over again?
When I requested this ARC, I knew the story could be out of my comfort zone. I haven't read a book with a bad boy/dangerous MMC in years because I couldn't stand them, but this book? It changed my mind completely and showed me how wrong I was to be prejudiced. It confirmed something I already suspected: a talented author can convince me to read any trope and love it. The story felt very emotional, especially because it contained pain (physical and emotional), trauma and lots of regret. Still, it had hilarious parts, sweet moments (not only between the MMCs but also in the secondary characters, their couples and friendships) and mind-blowing hot scenes.
I admired the fiery personality of the FMC, she wouldn't take any ill-treatment or disrespect, but she wasn't rude about it, she was just witty and determined. I also admired the MMC's determination to change bad habits born from trauma. His groveling for Skylar was fantastic, but nothing compares to how much he tried to change for her, to be able to cause her happiness instead of pain. Some of his traits, like his possessiveness and jealousy, were a bit too much for me, but it made sense with his history and personality.
Last but not least, the writing style was so good, it had the perfect pace to keep me reading until 3am, not wanting to stop.

Thank you to the lovely author and Rattle the Stars PR for this e-ARC!
This book starts right where Uprooted ended, with people evacuating j'Tilak to later come back after danger passed. Bri's and Tai's pods crash in Sabaak, a dangerous planet where sand, heat and beings trying to kill them are the norm. They will have to find a way to find each other and go back home, a true miracle considering that these two can only fight when they are together.
I adored Uprooted. It was fun, sweet and a great introduction to a cozy sci-fi series, but Untangled? I loved it!! The author surpassed my expectations for this book and even her previous book. Her descriptions of the dunes, the sand and the heat in Sabaak were so well done, I felt like I was there with Bri and Tai. Besides the beautiful writing, I admired how well done Bri's and Tai's journeys were. While stranded on Sabaak, they have to confront their pasts, who they used to be and where they come from. Their growth by the end of the book is emotional and super noticeable. This also matches well with how hilarious the whole book felt. It ended up the perfect combination of emotional, fun, romantic and sexy.

Thank you to NetGalley and LunaLit for providing this eARC!
Samantha and Colin are people with very strict rules for themselves, rules that are meant for them to have control over their lives and make good choices. But after meeting at a bar in Vegas and drinking too much, those rules feel inconsequential compared to the undeniable chemistry they share. That's how they wake up with the worst hangover in history and married. That morning, they go their separate ways and try to put that accidental wedding behind them. But when they go back home and to their new jobs, they'll realize they work together (he's even technically her boss!). Now, with their jobs and feelings on the line, their mistake at Vegas must remain secret. But it gets harder when they can seem to be able to be without each other and are forced to see each other every day.
This book had some of my favorite tropes/clichƩs for a romance novel: an accidental wedding, an age gap, workplace romance and a forbidden element. That made me enjoy a good deal of the first 50% of this book, being totally hooked and enjoying the chemistry between Sam and Colin. However, I had to DNF this at 70% because it became repetitive (I can't explain without spoilers, so I'll leave it at that). Their choices, their actions and the patterns of their behavior seem to be on a loop that ended up feeling boring instead of keeping the tension between them.
