started this because i've been enjoying the miniseries soooo much and immediately i like tim's iteration in the show better. there, he feels much less macho and like your average cishet man who immediately notices How Hot The Female Police Officer Is... also i like how conflicted he is about what happened in his previous job. here, while i don't actively dislike him at all, he is just a guy so far.
i like that luke seems a bit more bubbly, although i do love him in the show as well. don't necessarily care for the comments about the pretty redhead and wanting to smooch girls but listen, this is just my issue with male cishet writers i fear š ik there's nothing inherently bad about these comments specifically but as soon as women are mentioned in their books i immediately go like okay we didn't need that now did we......... alas
all this being said, i am enjoying it loads although of course these are all things i knew already from the show. excited to continue!

It was a lot of chaos but I really enjoyed seeing how Finlay managed to get out of it.

so far itās different from the show in the way itās not really a slow burn. daphne and simon immediately feel attracted to each other. i genuinely enjoy their romance more than i thought i would so early on- legit laughing out loud and kicking my feet

So I got super into Horror this year and for 2026 I want to read only horror (apart from a couple books that I'm waiting for in other genres) so what are some must read horror books that I should add to my 2026 TBR? I'm open to all kinds and I haven't read many, if any, classics (haven't read any Steven King). I would ideally love a good mix of sub-genres ect so I can get a good grasp on what I will like moving forward!

My shelves wonāt sync despite restarting everything and almost all of the books on my tbr have disappeared. Iāve never had a problem with the app before, so I donāt know what else to do. Anyone else having an issue, or is it just me?

Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).
