okay let’s start with the writing, it is absolutely beautiful lots of quotes to take home, but not enough to enjoy the whole story. as i kept reading this story i was wondering severally “when does this get better?” and it did like the last 100 pages. unfortunately it wasn’t enough to satisfy me. i detested my experience while reading this honestly wish i could get back the time i spent on reading this. didn’t really care for the characters that much, especially the romance. the romance was flat and bumpy nothing really peculiar about it.

DNF!! wow i feel free😭 i expected a slow burn, but it was just slow and no burning. this girl contradicts herself so much that i couldn’t stand it anymore, and the romance felt insta lovevy to me, cause what exactly did vincent do to warrant this much sacrifices? the gods here feel like humans that just happened to stumble upon magic, they felt very mortal to me. i did enjoy the writing but there was really nothing to take from it.

I can already tell my heart is going to be torn to shreds by this book. The prose is absolutely breathtaking and the way existence and birth and selfhood have been described so far is just... surreal.
