Hi all, I have been thinking about the best way of expanding my knowledge about worlds literature and my plan is to create a list of books from different countries and time periods to get myself more familiar with other works. Do any of you have any recommendations? Maybe we can help eachother to step out of our reading comfort zones and explore around the world.

These books make the hardest reviews, I can clearly tell this book is written well, but I had no moment that I connected with the book. I couldn't connect to the world, to the characters or the story on an emotional level, which makes the impact much less.

Ooooh it's conflict created by a misunderstanding, I like that 👀

Hi, I want to read at least one book from all countries that are UN-acknowledged + some more.
I have already finished at least one book from Australia, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Norway, the UK and the USA. I would love to find books from other countries, too. The book doesn't need to be set in a specific country; the book needs to be written by an author from (and preferably living in) the country.
Currently, I want to read books from different countries, so I don't really count authors who have backgrounds other than where they live. For example, if a Nigerian author wrote a book, but was born in and is currently living in the USA, I would count that as a book from the USA. Most of the books I read are from the USA or UK, therefore I want to broaden my horizon (hope this makes sense).
If you have a favourite book from your country, or know of a book from another country, I would love to hear about it, but they have to be translated into English for me to be able to read them 🥰
