Okay so I started moving some of my TBR books to my Interested category. TBR I feel like for me is 'I'm definitely going to attempt to read this at some point'. Whereas interested is like a 'this seems neat but I don't know if I'm gonna reach out for it or if I'm dying to attempt to read it anytime soon'. Is that how you guys are using this Interested category or just me? 'Cause I've never seen an Interested categoy til now! I also wonder if it's for books that have yet to come out? I know it can be my own thing, I get that, but I'm curious what other people do.

personally, i picked mostly childhood favourites because they felt like a safe choice!
how did you guys pick? are they the books that emotionally scarred you the most? the ones you find most relatable? or just your absolute favourite, nothing deeper ✨
i’d love to know!

I want to know everyone's thoughts on Acotar/Sarah J maas, because I personally heavily dislike both the series and the author very much (and this isn't to shame anyone for liking it or anything, this is my opinion) And I do need to preface this by saying, I have never fully read the books, but from what I read/researched online was enough to turn me away from them. Starting with the whole map within Acotar is based off the map of England/Ireland. Ireland being "Hybern", Hybern within the world is evil/vilified by Sarah J Maas. I've seen multiple people, including Irish people speak about this, and I have to say, I agree. I'm not Irish, but it's so very odd that she uses Irish mythology and profits off of it while depicting Ireland like this. This is only one problem I have found that I have with Sarah J Maas, I just want to know everyone's thoughts?

How do you guys stay motivated to read throughout the year? I love reading but most days I just don't have the energy or motivation to pick up a book and I'd love to hear ways you guys do it.

How did you get into reading? I know maybe a simple question, but I got into reading because of my Godmother, she was a librarian for a school board and always gifted me books for Christmas and birthdays growing up. They would always be different genres and always something i would never choose myself. This made me really appreciate stepping outside your comfort zone to find something you may like (or may not like lol). Last year, we decided to share a read together and again it was something I likely would have not picked up myself, but I was left with that feeling of appreciation for stepping outside your comfort zone and nostalgia for the old traditions manifesting itself in different ways.
So how does your story go? Have you been a reader since before you can remember? Was there a teacher or loved one that showed you the joys of reading? Or did you stumble upon reading later on in life?
Tell me, I'm nosy!!

How do people manage to put the words to their thoughts on books? I'm so bad at it. I'm trying to start a reading journal but I can't even form my own thoughts 😭

At this point I'm pretty invested in Circe's story but there are a lot of boring descriptions and sometimes the writing is so "pompous" that it feels like I'm reading a Victorian play. I don't know if I'll be able to read other 250 pages like this 🫠
