I love making playlists for books!! (and listening to others while reading like a soundtrack, especially ones that compile all the songs mentioned in a book - for example deep cuts by holly brickley etc..) some big ones for me are:

    • younger and dumber by indigo de souza for the book the adult by bronwyn fischer
    • space song by beach house for the book this is how you loose the time war by max gladstone and amal el mohtar
    • kids by current joys for the book the saturday night ghost club by craig davidson
    • cigarette daydreams by cage the elephant for the book message not found by dante madema
    • skin crawl by alice phoebe lou for the book goddess of filth by v. castro
  • song association

while reading, do you associate any songs with the characters/story/scenes? if so, list some of your favorite ones below!!

i have read a lot of books that include a playlist in the beginning that is supposed to be a vibe for the story/characters, and i was curious if people like those, if they actually listen, and if you as a reader come up with your own associations as you read?!

i can sometimes listen to a song and get little vibes/glimpses that i think i could turn into a character but i don't know if ive ever listened to a song and said "this is definitely giving so-n-so from x book"
