Damn, I read this book so fast! 😍 I’ve been putting off Done and Dusted for way too long—I even included it in my book club picks but still delayed reading it. Now I’m kicking myself because it was so good!

As a massive lover of small-town romances, this setting was perfect. Small towns always transport me right into the story, and this one made me want to pack my bags for the Rebel Blue Ranch immediately. Even though I don’t know how to ride a horse, I am officially ready to learn if Emmy or Luke are the ones teaching me! 🐴🤠

The dynamic between Luke and Emmy was incredible. I loved his teasing nature and how fiery Emmy got whenever he was around. Their chemistry was top-tier. I also really appreciated seeing the characters tackle their personal struggles and choose better paths for themselves. While I think the character development could have gone just a little bit deeper in some areas, I still loved seeing their softer sides come out.

Lyla Sage’s writing style completely won me over. I absolutely flew through the pages. She strikes the perfect balance between descriptions and dialogue. Sometimes authors over-describe things, which makes the chapters drag and bores me, but that didn't happen here at all. Even when the chapters were long, I was so sucked into the story that I didn't even notice.

My only minor critique is that I wish the situation with Gus had been handled slightly differently—I just wanted a bit more closure there. However, I really appreciated that Lyla didn’t rush into an easy reconciliation right away.

Overall, this was a fantastic, quick read. If you’re into cowboy romances, small-town vibes, banter, and lovable characters, you will absolutely love this one!
