slow, boring, navel gazy. lacks warmth which i suppose is part of the vibe of this book but i don't like it. i like stories to have some hope and joy and community and not be designed to induce depression
the premise is very interesting and i think this would play out better as a movie or something, this book is just insufferable

Does anyone else feel uncomfortable with the quest title? The way it frames non-english speaking countries as the 'other' (from beyond) and english speaking countries as the standard?
I know that this app can be very US-centric at times but I feel that this particular time it crosses a subtle but important line.
