I absolutely adore Kaner's writing style, it has such a poetic, lyrical ease to it that grabs hold and squeezes you. Godkiller is hands down my favourite book that I've ever read and I'm so excited to finally be in the trenches of Faithbreaker, I've missed Kaner's prose!

While I did enjoy this book, I did have to pause for a couple months in the middle since it felt like it wasn't going anywhere. The second half definitely picked up though. The plot was well thought out and all the characters believable, though the writing style isn't for everyone. It leans heavily on the literal side, telling things as they happen fairly shot for shot. Overall, I think it's a good read but you need to go into knowing the style and storytelling is not for everybody. Plus there's dragons!
