Hey, does anyone know if it’s possible to change the email address of the account? I signed up using my apple id which creates a random email address. I want to become a contributor but I need the payment to be on my actual email and not a default one. Thanks!

I am finally starting to get the hang of this book! At first I was a bit confused by the writing style, but once overcoming that, and as more details of the story became clear, I’ve began to fully immerse myself in the plot. It takes a bit to adjust to the peculiar storytelling as the protagonist is speaking from two different povs simultaneously, but with time and patience it becomes quite mesmerizing!

“Don’t you notice anything? Anyone would think you’d just arrived from another planet.” Thank you Frances! The narrator does seem to be very out of touch with her own reality.

I was wondering whether it was possible to add books that aren’t on goodreads. And if it is, how? Thank you! <3

I am confused as to whether they have access to books, as the speaker’s vocabulary is very versatile considering she has stated “i didn’t know the words for describing moods”. For her to be able to argue with the other women the way she does, she must have been exposed to some kind of literary influence, otherwise it doesn’t make sense she’s able to express herself so intricately. Am I missing anything?

I have only just realized this book is translated from french and am a bit upset for getting the english version instead of the original. So far I’m satisfied with the translation but if the book is as good as the hype it has received, i’ll consider getting it in french as well

I found a 1920s hardback edition of this book so now I simply MUST read it. With all the hype it’s been having lately i’m fairly excited to read it regardless of its intimidating size!

This story feels like listening to your great grandmother tell the story of her life, only it has a sense of absurdity to it. It keeps you at the edge of your seat, with a way of storytelling that makes you constantly want to know what happened next while simultaneously wishing the story would never end.
