I'd like to know if anyone's read this book and liked it. I know it's about a Palestinian woman living in America but the rest of the story is lost on me. Like stuff just be shocking me every now and then

I love the word 'snoodling' and thought it was adorable. Only to look it up and found the definition: Drooling from the nose.
Less cute.

Just started this for the winter readalong and the film adaptation coming out and I must say, it’s been a WHILE since I read a classic, so the language is definitely something to get used to. But I forgot how much I love it, the intricate descriptions and thrill of finding new words. So far it’s a book I’ll have to read slowly and carefully but I’m super excited!! Wish me luck!

If it wasn't for work tomorrow, I would've been reading this all night because this book is quite interesting. The narrator seems like fun and I'm curious about why she mentions staying clean and not getting dirty.
