What genre(s) did you start your reading journey with and how has it evolved over time?

Mine has always been around Fiction - Mystery, Fantasy and Adventure. I added Contemporary Romance to the list after a few years, and have been exploring what else I can dive it

I remember being in the library during recess in primary school and I would always gravitate to these series: Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Secret Seven and the Baby-sitters Club!

And now its still a good whodunnit book and whatever modern romance books I can find that doesn't make me cringe!

  • Revisiting Old Friends

This year I’m turning 36 and am on the downhill to 40. Because of this I’m feeling pretty nostalgic so I’m aiming to go back through old books from my teens and twenties over the next few years. (This will also help me flesh out my PageBound from before I started tracking my reads.)

And man, it’s so great to go back and experience all these people and places again.

There’s so many things I’ve forgotten about and it’s just a really sweet time.

Is anyone else doing any rereads this year?

  • Do I…have bad taste?

What do you do when you enjoyed a book that gets pretty low and harsh reviews?

Sometimes I feel bad that I wasn’t reading (and thinking) as critically as I could have when tons of reviews come out with lots of valid and thought-provoking critiques on a book that I somehow completely missed with my experience of it.

  • Discover

Does anyone else browse the Discover tab once a day to start adding more books to your TBR or peep what everyone else is reading? I just realized how much of a daily routine PB has become for me and for more than just updating my reading progress. The Discover tab has become a habit for me to check on daily šŸ˜…

Took me a while to finish this book as I've been so busy, I actually related to the FL, Grace, a bit as we had the same job.

Like Grace, my boss is a workaholic and she's the type where you need to be at her beck and call. Her struggles really mirrored mine to a certain extent!

I loved the date ideas Grace and Eric went on but the book was such a slow burn, I was getting restless! You can really tell how much trauma Grace went through with her ex to the point where she was second-guessing Eric's sincerity.

The banter between the leads were great and the chemistry emits through the pages! It would've been nice if this was a dual pov though, but still a great enemies-to-lovers trope in a workplace setting!

Connor sucks… we get it there is an age gap. Why are we getting constantly reminded over and over again. Eli also no better because he talks to Maya about not her breaking his heart while Connor has an equal chance of breaking hers.
