While this isn't typically something I would pick up, the concept of a litrpg is cool and I thought was decently done. The plot itself is pretty interesting, and I love Princess Donut. Personally, I probably won't keep going with the series, but it was still a fun time

While there were parts of this book that were kind of slow, I love the world and the magic system, and the romance storyline threading it all together was really well done. I would have loved the opportunity to further explore the market because I loved it so much. The writing around it and the bargains and deals was so well done. Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook. The language of bells deserves to be heard

This was a very good read. The plot explores what comes after something horrific happens to you, how you find yourself again, and how you open up to a community when you feel like you don't deserve it. And in spite of those heavy topics, the characters were still so warm and humorous. It was easy to be swept into Oaklin's story. As a narrator, Oaklin is compelling in their bravery and honest (to the reader) about their struggles. They are scared and hurt and guilty, and watching them flourish is a wonderful privilege. The community is 100% fantastic and really helps make the story something special, along with Lior, Ryn, Jules and of course, Granny Ghost. There are some repetitive parts, but that's how recovery goes sometimes. Overall, the heavy topics are handled well and the whole story is cozy and comforting.
