So this book is very much so not for me but it’s my wife’s favorite book, so she’s reading it to me and making it easier to understand by just calling some things what they are so I don’t have to remember all the specific terms and try to parse it all myself.

This has led to two characters being renamed Seth but one is Mediocre Seth and one is Evil Seth. The valets have a more specific job name but we just call them the twink handmaids. One of the guards is Bechemel, and he’s so far I think my favorite.

I’m reminded that high fantasy ain’t for me, but this is a really fun reading experience where I get to interject and ask questions and get a thorough explanation from someone who LOVES it but then get to settle back in and we laugh at the widow queen bc we renamed her Karen.
