Lots and lots of things have happened and I would’ve gone mad & surrender myself to the mental hospital if I were Ellory.

This book was marketed as an adult dark academia, but I think it’s more of a young adult. The plot started of a bit slow (and I got a bit bored somewhere in the middle of the book), also the magic system was a bit confusing and trippy at first, but once it picks up it was pretty page-turning.

I think I need to write an apology letter to Liam for suspecting him to be the bad guy when in reality he was just….😭😭😭 I knew there was something going on with him but I did NOT see that coming.

The plot twist got me gagged, by the way. Forever glad for the element of surprise, it was so atmospheric and eerie.

I don’t know how I feel about the romance. Was it cute? Sure. Was it heart-fluttering? Not really. I don’t hate it, but it was just okay.

I think the ending could be a bit better if there were a couple more chapters to wrap it all up, because it kinda feels a bit rushed.
