This book was uncomfortable, and unashamed of itself.

It was beautifully and sometimes disgustingly descriptive.

I enjoyed the turmoil this book put me through, and I do not plan to put myself through this again.

Massive trigger warning for Chapter 15. Nothing could prepare me for this chapter, it was horrifying.

“I’d become distracted, shoving both my feet into the same pant leg, too busy dwelling on how my head would feel crushed between your biceps,”

    So real Cathy. God damn.

“To want is to surrender to uncertainty. To step into the unknown. To expose ourselves to all possible outcomes and trust we will not be destroyed by disappointment”

Me and my fear of failure 🫣.

Kat Dunn you did NOT kiss this brick of a book before throwing it at me, and yet here I am still reading.

I have not experienced something as traumatic as what Lenore has, however I still feel drawn to her and her struggles.

Time to tear out of that bubble girl and rip shit up.

“Oh Little Lenore. It is terrible to be alive. But it is worse to be dead to ourselves”.

I had to look up from my book and look away at an imaginary camera crew like I’m on The Office.

    Oh, this book is good.
