Rock Paper Scissors is my least favorite Alice Feeney so far, but I still enjoyed it. The end had her trademark tornado of reveals. The plot and characters were engaging, but it felt slow in the middle.

Parents Weekend was my second Alex Finlay book, and it was another win. I loved the setup and characters. The plot was intricate and had satisfying twists.

The Last Chance Library is an incredibly sweet story about a community who tries to save their town's library from being shut down.
This book does a great job of showing all the good libraries can do, and the author's love for libraries jumps off the page. I love all the characters and their quirks and how as June comes out of her shell, she learns the beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking stories of the people around her.
The Last Chance Library is hopepunk to its core, and it is a much-needed uplifting story for US librarian and library user readers in our current political climate.

I'm in a pretty bad moment of my life right now, trying to figure everything out and not loose hope, so I was wondering what books made you feel like everything is gonna be alright? Books that gave you hope? Made you feel better or gave you strength to get up and deal with whatever you had to at that moment?

Audio is 1000% the way to go with this memoir. Carlisle includes songs that coordinate with the story at the end of each chapter, and there's essentially a full-length acoustic album at the end. It made for a very immersive experience, and I feel like I was able to understand her even more.
