Once again, Muir provides us with an absolute banger of a novel.
I had no idea what to expect coming from Harrow the Ninth and I gotta say it’s impossible to be disappointed in this series. I thought I’d finally understand the world and everything going on and I gotta tell you, I do NOT.
However, I’m so grateful for that. Some of my questions have been answered in this book, but simultaneaously I have a ton more that needs answering. I love putting together the puzzle of this series and I’m so excited for Alecto.

A riveting journey through time with a loveable, bumbling protagonist.
Jake Epping steps from everything he knows into the world of the early 1960s with the mission to stop the assassination of John F. Kennedy. But at what cost?
This was a great ride through and through. The pacing was perfect, the characters were well-rounded, the past was harmonic, and the ending was exactly what you'd want. Like many of King's novels, the world felt rich and real. This made for a gripping and suspenseful read at times.
Additionally, I walk away from this novel knowing more about the JFK assassination and the political atmosphere in the early 60s than I did before. (I knew some)

How can Tamsyn Muir keep pulling out these absolute bangers?
Honestly was worried that this wouldn’t be able to top the peak that is Gideon the Ninth, but holy shit. This book is so damn good.
You continue on with Harrow’s story after the events of the first book and, let me tell you, at the beginning, I was super lost.
It felt like I had been thrust into a new world and I had no idea what was happening. But the pure brain melt effect this book had once the little puzzle pieces started being put together cannot be topped. It is extremely rewarding to feel like you’ve figured out the plot point that had you stumped 80 pages prior.
I cannot recommend this book enough to readers. The pure adrenaline filled emotional journey you go on in the last 100 pages is absolutely peak.
