Right from the start you get a really clear picture of Morgan’s family. His dad is a serial killer who is currently locked up in prison. His mother only supports Morgan when it’s in her favor as seen by her disagreement in Morgan’s Transgender identity and her being described as an “autism-mom” who only supports him for Instagram clout.

The way the book is written, it’s like you’re truly in Morgan’s head. You could tell when he was stressing over something or when he was engaging in obsessive-compulsive behaviors. I found myself relating a lot to him in those aspects, AJW really knows how to display a character’s feelings to the reader.

Our main characters (Morgan & Felicity) were really well written. They both had their qualities and flaws making them come across as truly human. They’ve both led very difficult and traumatic lives and it was very nice to see that despite prior events and issues with eachother, they still ended up with a good relationship.

Overall the plot was very fun! Following the journey of uncovering the secrets of Jane Doe kept me on edge the whole time and i honestly did not see the twist coming. The parts at the end of each chapter with the podcast sites, instagram posts and reddit threads were well designed and really enjoyable to read. I think they were sadly quite accurate to the many flaws the true crime community has in real life.
