How Mickey7 stands above the film:
Better pacing.
A more entertaining focus on the isolated struggle Mickey 7 and 8 face.
The film above the book:
Funnier
Effective satire and social commentary. Much more dense narrative to chew on.
Final act/ending.
For the time being I prefer the book, but much looking forward to a rewatch of the film as I was already a fan of first watch.

7 cannot catch a break. Feeling hungry just watching him get his rations cut. Novel definitely focuses more on Mickey’s challenges rather than the societal-critique of the film.

Really appreciate the novel’s pacing a bit more so far compared to the film, while also appreciating Bong’s style in the adaptation. Great storytelling on both ends.
