Exactly as the title says. I love reading and have a lot of books I want to read that just came out, but I just can't get into the flow. It's taking me weeks to finish a book, and I have even been trying different genres to get me out, but I just can't.
What are some fast-paced, fun books with likable characters who are witty? I would prefer a romcom, but am up for anything. I do want there to be a happy-ish ending, basically a mood lifter.
I will literally try any book lol, but if you would like me to specify: I love Emily Henry, Lynn Painter, B.K. Borison, Ali Hazelwood. I tend to go for hockey romances, enemies-to-lovers, he falls first, 'who did this to you?' vibes (not necessarily all at once lmfao). Some of my favorite reads include The Crimson Moth duology, the GrishaVerse books (the Crows supremacy), Better Than the Movies, Long Live Evil, and The Return of Ellie Black.
Thank you for reading my solo yapp session and I would really appreciate the help!

If there is food, do you really need the romance? Regardless, these books will give you both.

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

I knew the twist, but just not to the fullest extent lol. I went in completely blind, like didn't even read the summary. With that being said, I was as confused as poor freakin Cadence. The mom's are the actual worst. The younger cousins creep me out. They needed to make her a video like Adam Sandler made for Drew Barrymore in '50 First Dates'.

This book filled me with so much angry confusion. This felt like it was written by a teenager writing an āadultā story. Some scenes felt like they were trying too hard to be quirky. Characters felt hollow. My mind is boggled.

The first two thirds of this book are on the same level as the first; building the story, creating a diverse world, setting up complex webs that ultimately lead to a twist. And then the last third kindaā¦fell apart? Iām not quite sure.
There is definitely a very clear message that relates to the political climate (especially in the States), but it felt too in your face instead.
I still loved the building of the characters and lore with the gods. Loved the banter between Freya and Bjorn. Still hated Geir and Ingrid.

Thank you Ali Hazelwood for delivering the best Reylo fanfic out there. The one that started them all if you will.

Do they not remind you of a British Blair and Chuck? Like the toxicity that just radiated from them was insane. I truly cannot believe this relationship continues beyond this book unless its better? Or am I simply just out of the demographic? š¤£
