This was an enjoyable read, a brilliant gothic romantasy with a lot to say about change and growth in a person’s faith…also I think the gargoyle might be my favourite fictional character of all time!

I'm getting through this book much faster than I'd like! I can't put it down and I don't want it to end ... I love the eerie undertone to the plot that I never expected! Also, if anything happens to the gargoyle, Rachel Gillig will hear from me!!

Was curious what everyone's thoughts on this was. Since getting back into reading I've also been adding books to my personal library. I have also gotten into collecting the beautiful special edition prints of books, especially the broken binding and a few illumicrate editions. I usually display these as art pieces, my broken binding copy of Blood Over Brighthaven and The Devils is currently cover out in front of some paperbacks I have and was curious if others did this as well?

This book is turning into a very enjoyable read! I was hooked the minute the gargoyle talked tbh, I can’t wait to see where it goes

Pagebounders, I need your help! I’m thinking about trying my hand at annotating a book while I read! I’m usually just a sit down and read kind of girl but I’m thinking this will be a nice way of re-reading a few of my favourites but I’m not sure how to start! Are there are any annotators around with helpful tips or category ideas for my tabs or even favourite colour pallets to stick to 😅 I’d love to know if you guys like to annotate your books or not!

Hi everyone! We have some product updates to share: 1. We're launching the first Special Event readalong on June 1st with a Pride Month Readalong! You'll get a special Pride 2025 badge for reading 1 of the 5 books in the readalong and posting or commenting in the forum. There's a link to the selections on the Discuss page; all selected books were written by LGBTQ+ authors. We're excited to celebrate Pride and the community with this special event :) 2. You can now search in the forums! Shoutout to Devin for this feature. We recommend sticking to keywords rather than full sentences for search 3. You will now see a warning message when posting about a book you're currently reading without entering the progress % or page #. This info is required for forum sorting by progress; we allow and encourage title editing (ie adding a chapter or quip to the title) 😊 + various bug fixes Happy reading, Jennifer + Lucy 💜💙

I got bored 50% in and realised I didn’t care about the characters or the story - this felt like a carbon copy of other Persephone/Hades retellings with nothing new added to it…the dialogue also felt quite juvenile 😬

A satisfying conclusion to the duology with more of a gripping storyline than the first book!

If I had a nickel every time the name Felicity is shortened to Flick in a YA fantasy book, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

I feel like this story could have used more fleshing out, but there were some good moments to hold onto
