Hi all, hope you’re doing well! I was thinking about how I see so many vintage books when I go shopping at my local second-hand book store. I personally don’t make an effort to collect older books (my probably oldest book is from the 70s) but I was curious as to how old your oldest copies are and what title. Feel free to post a picture too!!💕

So last week, I complained over feeling like reading is an absolute waste of money. And I’ll give a small nutshell of that post for context :

I am spending £10 every time I want to pick up a book and half of the time I don’t even enjoy that book and end up DNFing it. Huge waste of money, right?

So, people gave me an alternative of signing up for my city library. I did sign up for my city library, but already I am disappointed by it. There are hardly any books that fit my taste, the selection of fantasy books are extremely limited and there isn’t a wide variety. So, that was a bust.

Does anyone have any other alternatives other than a library? because it did not work well for me at all 😫

Am I the only one who LOVES to read low ratings of books they adored? I don't know why, I just love it. I find them so funny too. 🤣 And sometimes they have so much true in them but it doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to stop liking the book. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

I recently got over a months-long reading slump and I've finally gotten back into the habit of reading every day. These days, I usually read during short work breaks, before bed and whenever I have extra time on the weekends. I also listen to audiobooks on my walks. Gotta make up for lost time 😆

What about everyone else? Do you squeeze in reading whenever you can or do you set aside a specific time for it?

This is my first time using an app to catalogue my personal reading and I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of this app and logging my reading progress, but I wanted to ask what made others who have used other apps before (e.g. Goodread, fable, etc.) switch over to Pagebound? I purchased a book in my national language from Google play only to find that it has ai to translate it!! The sentence didn't make sense and it all felt so weird!!! 😭
