I'm in pain like literally while reading this. And Ernest is the number 1 douchebag. I swear. And the more I read the more pain I feel because this is so stressful. THAT I HAD TO STOP. That is how bad the character has turned due to his obsession which I don't freaking understand.

I found him witty and funny in the first book because he had a dark comedy, satirical tone. I know he's still in a depressed mode, moping around following the events of the 1st book. But it was too much. My god. I think the murder happened too late, the beginning was fine, all the talking and conversations had hints regarding our characters. I know. But it went toooooooooo long and I'm tired.
Ernest is really unlikable this time, whether he finally picks up his mood or not. He is just a purely self-centered man. I almost DNF'd this book because of Ern and the pace.
So, yeah, I don't quite enjoy the sequel, and maybe a sequel wasn't necessary.

The differences with the 1st book and the 2nd are that, in the 1st book, we went deeper into the human stories while in this one, we are learning more about the Dreamworld's people and places. So, if you ask me, to my surprise, I prefer the 2nd book theme.
There's still a human involved cuz apparently some of them have involved our world's "complaints" about the department store. I wouldn't use the word complaints per se. I would say more like diaries of unfinished business. Hehe.
All is fine. Good to see Penny has matured. For those who have just started working out there, you’ll feel uneasy but eventually, you’ll be Penny. Shy at 1st and bloom into a confident woman.
Ergo, thank you writer-nim and Ms Translator for introducing me, in depth, to all the characters. I enjoyed it. But I can't give a 5-star cuz well, I'm stingy.
