2.3 ★ well, i finished this... i love time travel, and i love the aspect of taking someone out of their time and have them try to adjust to another one; and this book even had the premise of taking them out right before they died, which was so interesting to me. and. it did nothing with that. i was BORED, i did NOT care about anyone, and i couldn't even fully focus on what was happening. the romance was shit, idgaf about these people separately, why would i want them together? the chapters on graham's pov were somehow even worse, why would i care? this buildup was so bad, that i didn't even care about the ending anymore, i just wanted to finish this...

3.3 ★ this is hard book for me to rate, because i don't even know if i fully enjoyed it? i think my main problem is the fact that throughout the whole book we're in lucien's pov, and i don't really like him. as a character he's fine, but as a person i can't stand him; and here's the thing, there are several book in which a flawed mc or a bad person as our protagonist works, but in this case i don't really think it does. yes, he's supposed to be flawed, and he's supposed to be a mean person who eventually gets much better throughout the book, but for fuck's sake if a 28 year old men acted like this in front of me i would immediately drop him as my friend. and oliver, on the other hand, was so much more interesting and i don't really get what he sees in luc... especially since it keeps getting brought up that's he's liked him since before the beginning ??? what ??? i can understand him slowly starting to like him throughout the book, but BEFORE? and while he kept being an asshole to him and everyone around him? what?? also the writing style... man, i felt like i was reading a crack fic in wattpad some times, and there's a reason i haven't used that app in almost a decade. also this could've ended at around 65%//70%, they were fine, they had overcome everything and had had their "last" fight that ended up clarifying everything so i couldn't understand why i still had a third of the book left

luc is kinda annoying me ngl... how old is he supposed to be anyway? cause he does not act like someone over 22. i'm also not a big fan of this writing style, although it fits the character, so i don't know if my annoyance should be towards the author or luc
