But then that ending.

INSANE.

I genuinely didn't see it coming until the very last minute. RL Stine really said: let me scramble your brain for an hour and then slap you with a reveal.

Overall: messy start, wild finish, and the kind of twist that makes you sit up straight and replay the last chapter in your head.

Finally dropping this because I just can't anymore. Two stars for the banter between Evie and Villain but everything else just falls flat is so boring

Omfg this has to be the best book I've read in a while with such a unique and original story...my god what a wonderful experience it is to read this book.
