The beautiful illustrations and wonderful message about accepting differences result in a touching story. I gave this to a friend who has two young granddaughters.

Once Upon a K-Prom is definitely meant for a YA reader. It was just OK. Romance is not my preferred genre - I only read it for a reading challenge.

I tried reading this, but it was not for me - seems like it should be two separate books.

Jinwoo Park is a Korean Canadian writer based in Montreal, and he writes with authority regarding the experience of immigrants. With a master’s in creative writing from the University of Oxford, he vividly depicts the setting. His debut novel is Oxford Soju Club, which is a dark exploration of the Korean diaspora experience in the West - on the surface a grim spy thriller set in London - but it allows the high stakes exploration of the lives of North and South Korean immigrants. A true diaspora maintains a strong, continuous emotional, cultural, or political connection to their ancestral country while engaging with a new community, and this book shows the dark side of the struggle to balance conflicting ideologies and purposes. Riko Kozakura and her duo of feline adventurers, Musubi and Soboro are a fun crew! Cat + Gamer Volume 6 is a solid installment in this cozy and wholesome series. Until I have a feline companion again, I will enjoy reading cat manga like this.

I really adore reading about Riko Kozakura and her band of feline adventurers, Musubi and Soboro! Cat + Gamer Volume 5 is a solid installment in this cozy series. I do miss having a cat and look forward to when I will have a feline companion again. Until then, I will be sated by cat manga like this.
