The Ballad of Falling Dragons (Moonfall, #2)

The highly anticipated conclusion to Dragon Gods comes filled with more action, adventure, rage, spice, and a new cast of characters, dragons included. Ian’s POV adds a different perspective on the resistance vs. kingdom conflict. I enjoyed seeing Fox and Sophia evolve together and separately while batting their own internal struggles. Dragon Rising left me satisfied with the finale while also open to what’s to come with the next Wueco duology. If you enjoy slow burn aftermath, political intrigue, and action-packed romantasy in a lush setting, give this duology a read. Thank you for the eARC opportunity to provide an honest review.

”Aww, Casteel mocked, an amused smirk playing across his lips. “Does Reaver-butt also need extra nap times?”
i’m sorry this whole dialogue is killing Casteel (and everyone else) for me. Did they joke in this way in previous books? Admittedly it’s been over a year since i’ve read War of Two Queens and it’s sending me and not in a good way 🤦🏻♀️

A perfect storm indeed! An apropos title for a dramatic moody romance that left me beaming internally. With echoes of nostalgia and yearning reminiscent of Every Summer After’s Sam and Percy, Carley writes a new story that stands on its own. Packed with a punch of post-breakup fallout, vacation vibes, and relatable life lessons, Carley is the queen of writing with depth that allows you to not only fall in love with the characters but the setting and this time, the food. If you crave the taste from The Seven Year Slip and the escapism of The Paradise Problem, add Tofino to your bucket list and prepare to unapologetically ruin the friendship.
