So the writing is absolutely gorgeous in this so far, just to say that to start! But plotwise this felt a little slow to pick up for me until everything happened with the witchfinder and now leading into Part II, holy hell I'm all in.
Excited to see where this goes!
And look, Miriam is a toxic murderous demon, but one thing I'm appreciating about her so far is she's fully honest lol. I mean she's made everything perfectly clear to Cybil. The bar is low but I appreciate the lack of subterfuge, I guess. She completely owns who/what she is, and just plays her hand. Obviously there's the darker elements of manipulation and the nature of the deal itself but I can appreciate a demon who doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Of all the POVs, my least favorite is Naranpa’s. It feels like you know the dreaded paperwork at the office. Something that needs to be done.
The other two POVs were just more fun. Also, Naranpa sounds a bit whiny.
