I’m simultaneously a Freida hater and lover. Her writing is juvenile at times BUT I am always entertained. Sometimes you need a book like this to cleanse the palette, and for that it gets 4 stars.

Oh this one will make you sob. What an incredible story by an incredible person. Zamora’s story is unbelievably important to read. My heart ached for him and every person who helped him get to his parents. Chino and Patricia deserve the world for putting a stranger’s life before their own.
To think that this experience in the late 90s is still relevant (and even more dangerous) today is mind boggling. And to think how hard these innocent humans fight for their futures, just to be ripped away again by ICE is reprehensible and evil.

That was a crazy ride. 2001: A Space Odyssey meets Her meets Severance. Such a fun concept and so expertly done. I could probably spend hours trying to work out all the messages Ravn slipped into this work. Timely with the rise (and dangers) of AI rn with a sci-fi twist. QUICK read.
