Ok I love an unhinged fmc normally but this one was veryyyy on the nose. The book was entertaining, but Lillian was genuinely just a horrible person with no redeeming qualities.
I liked the therapy session where she got diagnosed bc at least it confirmed the readers’ suspicions. But Lillian was a woman hater obsessed with male validation 🍅 sorry I don’t vibe with that at allllllll
It was funny and ridiculous, so it’s great for a quick read but might make you mad.

This book is a BRICK (19 hr audiobook mind you). I honestly had a good time reading it and the narrator was fantastic, but the story itself was lacking a bit for me. It was hinting at the main character being selfish and immoral, but I don’t think it dug in hard enough. And for a book this long, I would have expected a more interesting plot.
However, I loved the vibes. Devil Wears Prada meets The Guest by Emma Cline. Early 2000s. Fashion magazine. Need I say more! But warning it will take you a while to get through.

Reading this right after Dark Matter was too much time jumping for my brain 😵💫
I haven’t read many mysteries with this kind of plot and it was a nice change of pace. I think it did start to drag in the middle but the twist was pretty good! I think it would probably be easier to work out if you were paying attention closely but I never do.
Would recommend for a fun mystery that keeps you guessing!
