I have been so excited to read this book! R.F. Kuang has been one of my favorite authors because she seamlessly blends so many literature and philosophy into her fantastical worlds. I personally do not understand when people say her writing is “too-on-the nose” or you can not understand her writing due to so many inferences she makes. I’m a sucker for academics mixed into her style of writing! I hope this book won’t disappoint, but so far I have enjoyed it

Amazing first chapter, I haven’t been so hooked in a while. Jenny is unintentionally hilarious, I love her already. Can’t wait to see what the witch is like!

Happy Summerween!! 👻☀️🪦
My friend and I are doing a bit of a summerween readathon for the rest of July and we decided to include some of our childhood favourites: Goosbumps by RL Stine!
I’d love to hear some of your favourite goosebumps books you read as a kid (or an adult)! Mine was hands down “The Headless Ghost”. I remember being 9 and thinking it was creepy as hell. My friends was “Say Cheese and Die”.
Let me hear your faves!!
