wow this book was haunting i absolutely loved it most importantly, i support vampire women's wrongs

    my serious review though,

I think the way VE Schwab writes female main characters is so incredibly unique and I eat it up every time. Sabine was a wild character and while I don't exactly like her, she is absolutely fascinating and I still enjoyed reading from her pov. Charlotte was lovely, I think she is beautiful but she is also flawed and I like that about her. Alice was my favorite, the switch to her feeling rage was so well done. There was a lot of time and thought put into these characters and I appreciated the contrast between the three of them.

The touch of tragedy to each of their lives really is the haunting part, they never got what they wanted at the end. the hunger, the love, life - something was taken from all of them and I love how poetic it is. The story constructed and upheld its meaning. I know to some the ending might seem a bit anticlimactic, but I think that's intentional - it's not meant to be a happily ever after and the short ending shows that it doesn't really end.

I really liked the way the title was relevant throughout the entire book, the imagery was beautiful.

I would recommend this to anyone who liked the invisible life of addie larue and anyone who likes vampires.
