This isn't the first non-fiction book that I've read that focuses on apocalypse and disaster and similar to the others, the message is ultimately one of tempered hope and empowerment.
The book focuses on five apocalyptic prophets from five Indigenous American nations, details the messages they had for their people, puts those messages in context of history and culture, and discusses what sort of lessons we can learn from them applicable to our own impending apocalypse.
