bit of a superficial read, to be honest. too much spirituality for my tastes, and too little actual sincerity that is the driving force of good memoirs and biographies alike. still love his movies i've grown up with, but this is a nah from me.

Honestly, this book was a little boring for me. I thought it'd be interesting to learn more about Val Kilmer's life and I definitely learned a lot more but I didn't love his writing and delivery style and honestly, the whole book is just a big name drop....

He's kind of a weird person, and I personally couldn't relate to how he speaks of his Christian Science faith. It all felt a bit "oh sure buddy"

If you think actors are full of themselves, this book won't surprise you.

Wow, this book was the perfect way to start the post SJM/Empyrean era. I have never had a book make me feel the way this one did. I was giggling under the covers, clutching my chest to still my heart, gasping and covering my mouth, awestruck, jaw on the floor. I seriously love the writing style, our main characters have charm and wit and are actually hilarious! So happy to have a FMC who isn't dumb and actually someone you can grow to like. Though pieces of the plot felt predictive, overall I was very intrigued the entire time and couldn't put the book down!

This, in my opinion, is a must read tor everyone.

If you can get through the course language and analogies, the principals and presentation of such, knock away any idea you may hold that "you are owed anything in this life". Mark Manson absolutely clocks us as the reader on our own entitlement, selfishness, and unwillingness to let go of false beliefs. This book will change your mind, maybe even your life. So if you don't read it, it's probably because you're scared of those changes.

    Your loss.
