“Mother pucker,” Ok, so second chapter in and.. I'm not a big fan. Already the way it's written makes it seems so formal but it's not at the same time? I also wish we had some sort of context because I've been confused. Then him calling her babe and sweetheart just seems cringe to me rn? I also hate when characters curse but keep it pg, like the quote, it's so cringe to me. Like either say the real curse or don't say it at all

What is your favorite romance and why? :)

I’ve been in a bit of a rut when it comes to romance books. Normally this would just cause me to re-read my favorites but I’m trying to find something new. I’d love to see what everyone’s favorites are and why!

Some of my favorites from this year so far:

- Happy Place by Emily Henry (all of her books but that one is my favorite!)
Friends to Lovers by Sally Blakely - I read this in July and loved it! Recommend for anyone who loves People We Meet on Vacation.
- Alone With You in the Ether by Olivie Blake
Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone
Mad About You by Mhairi McFarlane (although I’d say the romance is very subtle)
