omg is that a dnf? 💀 i don’t want it to be though. had really high hopes for this one. i even felt like salley rooney rehabilitated in my eyes cause i was enjoying the beginning of this book and now i’m just going through a reading slump. why am i so bored? i’m telling you! i’m not a person to say “oh so boring, nothing happens in the book”. i am a person who looooves those slow paced stories but wow. intermezzo is something else. please tell me i’m not the only one here

Ugh are these characters just obsessed with death and sex. If nothing's gonna happen AND that's all they think about, in dreary dublin...i don't know if I can finish. Will read another 50 or so pages.

Wow, I’m actually really enjoying it. It surprises me because I didn’t like Conversations with Friends or Beautiful World, Where Are You. Sally Rooney’s characters felt so flat, and they were always talking about being super skinny and unattractive. Like, come on… But this book is genuinely good so far. The writing feels more mature. I like how Ivan’s chapters are structured and organized, while Peter’s are chaotic and twisted. So far, the characters act like real human beings, which I really appreciate. I just hope this book doesn’t betray me -> because I truly don’t want to hate all of Sally Rooney’s books! 🥲
