I'm literally still thinking about this book I loved it so much 😂
❄️ size difference ❄️ CONSENT ❄️ forced proximity ❄️ coziest vibes ever ❄️ fated mates ❄️ caretaking
This was like....0 stakes all coziness.
Ok....ALMOST 0 stakes. There was the MMC's fear that once FMC saw he was not human she would hate him despite how much of an absolute sweetheart he is and how much he was taking care of her and secretly doing for her 😔
I love that this isn't super plot/stakes heavy. It's very relationship focused so I was VERY emotionally invested.
MMC may be Consent King, but FMC is also a Consent Queen 👑
Know what else I loved? I loved that the story didn't end at the reveal. We actually get to see their relationship! Meet the parents! See their life! I feel like so often books kind of end at that big reveal, make up, and that's the end. But not here! Which is part of what made it just feel so relationship/character based in the best, most realistic way.
I absolutely adored this and really can't recommend it enough. I finished it and started rambling the whole plot to my mom and raving about it 😂
Honestly this series of standalones deserves way more of an audience then it has, so definitely give it a shot 🫶🏻
I require a paperback for my shelf so I can repeatedly read it and itll get all beat up and well-loved

Hi, I'm Xanthia and I (sometimes) judge books by their covers.
We all know we're not supposed to...
But I am guilty of it frequently.
What is a book with a cover that you judged, but ended up enjoying?
Do you know by looking at a book cover whether it's for you or not?
Which book has your favorite cover?
Happy Devouring! X

The repeated use of the word “heathen” in this book is sending me 🙈😆 it really is the writers go to word in this book no matter the situation
