The world is absolutely immersive, throughout the story we get to know more and more of the whole world and it is honestly not annoying to me but very nice! I like getting information about worlds in a more normal pace and we got to know exactly as much as we need! What i also love is that there were limits with the magic use! Most of the times i get the feeling of books that us readers only get to see the max of magic use when its convenient to the story while with this book you get to see the max when it is actually the max! For my feeling and understanding there was a maximum use of magic as there should be! The rules were clear and i love how the extend of magic got tested throughout the whole book!

Honestly the pacing was everything to me! The chapters are max 6 pages long which to me makes it so much easier to read! I always feel a small victory when i reach an end of a chapter and because this book has such small chapters i kept on reading and finished it within 3 days while i was actively on a holiday in the UK! The humor was also very hilarious and cackled a lot about the chapter names!

The characters felt realistic to me! They both went through so much and struggled with it! For my feeling they got better in real time almost! The journey for especially Kazimir felt so real and raw! I love his character developmend and his realisation that it doesn't just have to be fear to have someone next to you!

Overall i adore this book and will be on my favourites shelf! I can't wait to read the second book!
