five stars through and through. Katherine effortlessly blended the living and the dead together with this novel set during WWI.
and Falan, phew, was a supernatural force of a character - even as a reader he really sucked me in when he was introduced. i honestly don’t even have more to say besides the fact that this story was hauntingly beautiful and i can’t stop thinking about the characters and their pains/sufferings.
i’m experiencing an excitement and obsession with how much sense the title made once i got into this book. i can’t even put it into words, but it has me feeling very sentimental and i am now very very very fond of the phrase “the warm hands of ghosts.”
