you must want to spend the rest of your life with yourself first

    —

I gently disagree with the premise of this poem. Yes, it’s important to love yourself. But it doesn’t necessarily have to come first, because love can be a mirror that makes you realize your own worth when it’s reflected back. Sometimes love is the start.

Hmmm I’m struggling a little getting into this book - which is odd because steampunk Cairo should be right up my street!! Does it pick up / is it worth reading on? šŸ¤”

I do not think I need to elaborate here...

Ilya Rozanov is to everyone in the NHL what Donkey is to Shrek.

    Police accountability

What's clear already is the lack of accountability for Australian police officers. It really is like a big white boys club where nobody can rat each other out. Where they are allowed to be criminals because they are always protected more by the law than anyone else especially Indigenous people

Edith hadn’t seen him so self-righteous since the day he had tried to cook a whole fish in the sandwich press.

Why is there always some arsehole trying to cook a slab of meat in the sandwich press??
