Am I biased because that’s my fiancé on the cover? Probably. Do I think everything EVN writes is simply exquisite and nails the experience of being a queer Blakfulla in the colony? Big yes. I had the privilege of watching this show a number of times during it’s premiere run back in 2024. Having recently re read this script, it feels just as impactful. Dripping with wit, tenderness, and love, swim is a raw exploration of belonging in all its forms.
