It's books like this that really help with the climate and nature doom and gloom. So much of the news is headlines meant to capture your attention and not to inform you. This book works to inform you. And, it's full of hope. I feel like we CAN do it. We are capable of solving the climate crisis, but we have to work together!

Hannah Ritchie does a tremendous job breaking down the data in a way that is very digestible and easy to understand. Each chapter ends with a What Not To Stress About section, which really helps separate the noise from what really helps.

I listened to the audiobook and then ordered a physical copy so I can go through and highlight parts and make notes!

Hillary Gonzalez's newest poetry collection. A love letter to the iconic Osprey that call the Chesapeake Bay home. Like so many of us, she is concerned with the overfishing of the menhaden (a big food source for the osprey). These poems reflect on not just the osprey themselves, but the entire ecosystem that they live in. I was fortunate to read an ARC of the collection, and by the end of it was myself ready to send a letter to Virginia's governor to pause the overfishing in the Chesapeake!
