Ok but what a concept. I would actually be so pissed and probably end up just as bitter as Filch đđ

It was fascinating to get more context about elves from Fred and George, especially considering the history of their mistreatment.

It's just... interesting to see how house-elves were literal slaves, had no autonomy or choices, yet Dobby is here actively making a choice for Harry to not go back to Hogwarts despite his own will. Love Dobby though, just a random thought lol

Tomi Adeyemi does a great job of giving us a realistic depiction of how people with trauma operate under pressure and make fear-based decisions.
Book two is emotionally brutal in a way the first book isnât, which made it genuinely less enjoyable for me.
The choices the characters make are difficult to process, and it was uncomfortable to sit with that anger as a reader.
The tension is relentless and borderline unbearable, scarcely tempered by any lighthearted moments.
Iâm new to this genre, and perhaps dark fantasy isnât my cup of tea. This wasnât a light or fun read, but I still revere Adeyemiâs riveting storytelling nonetheless.
